Bought a $130 clipper set that dulled in 2 months

Picked up one of those fancy cordless clippers with the ceramic blades, figured it would save me time between sharpening visits. After maybe 60 cuts, it started pulling hairs instead of slicing them, especially on thicker heads. Took it to my sharpening guy in Philly and he said the blade gap was off from the factory, not something I did wrong. He fixed it for $25, but now I wonder if I should have just stuck with my old Wahl and bought better guards. Any of you run into ceramic blades wearing out fast, or did I just get a bad unit?

Is the sharpening guy in Philly part of the factory warranty network? Most people don't think about that.
