Rolled out pie dough on a glass cutting board and it turned into a sticky disaster
I was at my sister's house last Sunday making a double crust apple pie. She has this fancy glass cutting board that I thought would work fine. After about 3 minutes of rolling, the dough just fused to the surface like glue. I had to scrape it off with a bench scraper in chunks and start over from scratch. Next time I'm bringing my own wooden board from home no matter what. Has anyone else had a smooth surface ruin their dough like that?

Is it just me or do slick surfaces always seem to cause more problems than they solve?

Glass cutting boards are strictly for display purposes in my book, not for actual cooking. Sounds like that pie dough put up a good fight though, at least you won in the end.
