Rant: my roomie gave me two choices, keep his moldy mini fridge in the hall or pay $60 toward a new one

I picked paying the $60 in October and now he acts like he owns the new fridge and leaves sticky notes on my yogurt. Did I handle this right or should I have just let the old one stink up the hallway?
