PSA: My $40 noise machine did more for my roommate situation than any talk we had
My roommate works night shifts and sleeps from 7am to 2pm, so I was basically a hostage in my own apartment during the day. I couldn't cook, watch TV, or even take calls without her texting me to be quiet, and we got into it at least twice a week. I picked up a $40 white noise machine at Target on a whim and put it in the hallway between our rooms. Now she runs it while she sleeps and I can live my life like a normal person, three weeks in and we haven't argued once. Has anyone else solved a roommate problem with a dumb gadget instead of an actual conversation?
