My landlord said I should just 'talk it out' with the roommate who owes me $340, and I think that advice is garbage
My roommate in Austin has owed me $340 for utilities since March, and when I asked my landlord for help he said to sit down and 'talk it out' like adults. Thing is, we tried that twice already and the guy just nods and then Venmos his girlfriend instead, so talking has done nothing but make me the bad guy for bringing it up a third time. Am I wrong for thinking a lease should spell out what happens when someone refuses to pay, or do I just eat the $340 and start hiding the router?
