Dropped $260 on a mini fridge for my room to dodge my roommate's gross habits, it broke in 7 weeks
My roommate leaves milk out on the counter all night and never wipes the shelves, so I gave up on our kitchen fridge and bought a small one for my room at the Walmart on Fletcher. Seven weeks in the compressor started rattling, then it just quit, and the warranty only covered the first 30 days. So I was out $260 plus another $80 in groceries that went bad, and I'm right back to sharing cold air with a guy who thinks mold is a seasoning. Before you buy your own fridge to escape a nasty roommate, has anyone here actually had one of these cheap units last more than a few months, or is this just how it goes?

Roommate's the problem, not the fridge. A decent used one off Facebook Marketplace runs $50 and lasts years, but you'll still be storing it next to a guy who grows science projects. Fix the roommate or move out, buying stuff is just burning cash.
