Two days ago my rain barrel bracket gave way and flooded my entire garden bed
I was out in Denver checking my drip lines when I heard this loud snap and 50 gallons of water came crashing down, washing out all my new seedlings. Has anyone else had those cheap plastic brackets fail on them like that?

Those plastic brackets are total junk, had the same thing happen with mine last summer after a big storm. Ended up switching to metal ones from a local hardware store and bolting them directly into a concrete paver instead of the wood fence. Way more stable and you can find them for like 15 bucks each. Also learned to put a slow-drip valve on the spigot so it doesn't fill up so fast and put that extra pressure on the connection.

So did you have any trouble getting the concrete paver to not shift around over time? I've seen people bolt things to those little square pavers and then after a few freeze-thaw cycles the whole thing starts leaning again. Or did you bury the paver a bit so it's level with the ground? Because that's the part that always trips me up with these DIY fence mounts, the damn ground movement.
