Shoutout to metal shed anchors after my old one blew away in a storm

I used to just stake my 8x10 shed with those cheap plastic anchors from the hardware store. Then a microburst hit my yard in Greenville last June and flipped the whole thing onto my neighbor's fence. I switched to these 18 inch screw-in ground anchors that you twist in with a rod. Cost me about 60 bucks total for a set of four but it hasn't budged since. Has anyone else had a shed go airborne on them?

My 10x12 took off during a storm in summer 2020 and landed upside down in my backyard pond. I found it floating like some kind of twisted boat. The cheap stakes it came with just pulled right out of the ground like they were nothing. I went with those screw-in anchors too, the 24 inch ones from Tractor Supply, and they've held through two hurricanes since. Best money I ever spent on that shed.

Man, I don't know. A 10x12 shed sounds pretty heavy, even plastic ones. I mean, it would take a solid wind to lift that thing up and flip it. Maybe if the ground was already soft from rain and the stakes were those flimsy L-shaped ones? I can see those pulling out easy enough. But floating around like a boat in a pond just seems a little dramatic. Idk, maybe I'm just not picturing the kind of storm you get down there.
