Rant: My old shed got a facelift that actually made me use it again
Honestly, my shed was just a dark hole where I threw junk for like 5 years. Last month I slapped some plywood on the floor, added two cheap solar lights from Home Depot, and painted the walls white. Now it's actually a workspace where I can fix stuff instead of just a place to lose my shovel. Has anyone else done a cheap makeover that totally changed how you use your shed?

Fix that title though - a facelift is what people get on their faces, not sheds. What you did is more like a remodel or a refresh. But yeah, I get what you mean. I did almost the same thing with my old shed last spring. Just clearing out the junk and painting the walls bright made me actually want to go in there. Funny how a few cheap changes can flip a space from useless to your favorite spot.

Oh man I gotta admit I was totally wrong about sheds before doing this. I always thought they were just for storing junk and that was it, no way to make them nice. But after I cleaned mine out and added some actual lighting and a workbench, it completely changed my mind. Now I actually go out there to fix things and hang out instead of just tossing stuff in and never looking at it again. It's wild how much of a difference a few basic upgrades can make to a space you wrote off as hopeless. I used to roll my eyes at people doing shed makeovers but now I get why they bother.
