PSA: My shed in Tacoma nearly blew over last winter because I didn't anchor it to a concrete pad.

The windstorm ripped out the four plastic anchors I'd hammered into the dirt, so now I'm looking at pouring a small slab and using proper wedge anchors, but I'm curious if anyone has a good method for a DIY pad that doesn't require a full truck of concrete?

Honestly those plastic anchors are usually good enough.

Disagree completely. Try hanging a heavy mirror or a big shelf with just plastic anchors. They crack in old plaster or crumble in drywall under real weight. I've seen them fail and drop things, leaving huge holes. For anything over a few pounds, you need a toggle bolt or a real wall stud.
