Pier block shifted 2 inches under my 10x12 shed and I caught it just in time
I was walking behind my shed in Yakima three weeks ago and noticed one corner had dropped about an inch lower than the rest. When I dug down, the pier block had slid 2 inches off its gravel base because I never tamped the soil right when I built it 4 years ago. I jacked up that corner with a bottle jack, re-leveled the block on 4 inches of packed gravel, and added a second block beside it for support. Has anyone else had a pier block shift after a wet winter, and did you just relevel or pour a concrete footing instead?
