Counting 18 sheds on my block in Lansing made me realize how much the alley changed
I walked the alley behind my house last Saturday and counted 18 backyard sheds on one block, which felt like a lot for a street that used to have maybe five. Back in the 90s most of these yards had nothing but a clothesline and a dog run, and now it's storage sheds, a screened gazebo, and one guy's little workshop with a window unit. My own shed is a rusty 8x10 from 1994 that leaks by the door, and I keep putting off fixing it while my neighbor just put up a fancy vinyl one in a weekend. Anyone else notice their whole neighborhood filling up with sheds, or is it just my street?
