Wish I had listened about the rooster rule sooner

My neighbor Deb down the street has been keeping chickens for like 15 years and she told me not to get a rooster. I thought she was just being dramatic so I went ahead and got this gorgeous Brahma rooster from a guy on Craigslist. Within 3 days my neighbor 2 houses over was at my door at 6am holding a coffee cup looking really tired. Now I have to rehome him and I feel terrible because he is super protective of the hens. Has anyone else learned this lesson the hard way or found a breed of rooster that is actually quiet?

Nope, found out the hard way with a Red Ranger who thought 3am was prime time for his solo album. Friend tried to tell me "quiet rooster" is just a myth sold by breeders on Facebook Marketplace. Now I just stick to hens and let the wild birds handle the morning announcements.
