My rooster escaped for 6 hours and I found him on the neighbor's trampoline

Last Tuesday I thought my rooster, Barnaby, got taken by a hawk because he vanished during my morning feed. Turns out he hopped the fence somehow and spent the whole day bouncing around the Johnsons' backyard trampoline, they have three kids who apparently thought it was hilarious. I only found him because their 8 year old came over asking if I was missing a very loud bird. Anybody else have an escape artist that picks the weirdest spots?
