My Rhode Island Red, Bertha, started laying these tiny eggs with no yolks last month.
It happened right after a cold snap in early March, and she laid about five of them over two weeks. I read it can be a stress thing or maybe her system is just resetting. Has anyone else's hen done this, and did you do anything to help?

Oh yeah, that's totally a thing. I read it's called a fairy egg or a wind egg. It's like her system glitched for a minute, especially after that cold weather. Usually they just start laying normal ones again on their own. I wouldn't worry unless it keeps happening for a long time.

My buddy's hens did that after a power outage last winter. He had a whole week of these tiny, weird eggs, just like @aaron_flores84 said. They were all yolk, no white at all. His whole flock went back to normal once they got used to the routine again.

Keep an eye on how much light they're getting too. That's what really got me with my own hens after a big storm knocked everything out. @murray.troy is right, the routine part matters a lot. I actually found that a simple battery powered coop light on a timer fixed my girls right up in two days flat. If the weather's been really weird or if she's stressed from something else like a predator scare that can also cause it. Just watch her for a week or so and if she's eating drinking fine and acting normal she'll probably sort herself out.
