My neighbor's one comment about the rooster changed my whole morning routine
Last spring I kept a rooster named Clyde who crowed at 4:30 AM right under my bedroom window. My neighbor finally came over and said, 'You know, that bird sounds like a smoke alarm with a dying battery.' I laughed, but then I realized he was right, the noise was driving me up the wall too. I moved the coop to the far end of the yard, about 60 feet away, and started using a timer on the coop door so Clyde stays inside until 7 AM. Has anyone else had to rework their setup because of a neighbor's complaint, or does everyone just deal with the noise?

Timing the door is the trick, I did the same thing after my neighbor called my ducks a car alarm. Once you get them on a schedule they'll quiet down way faster than you’d think.
