Moved nesting boxes after 2 years and my hens finally use them

I used to keep my nesting boxes right next to the coop door, figured it was easiest for egg pickup. After 2 years of battles with eggs on the floor, I shifted them to the darkest corner of the run, behind a plywood screen. Turned out my girls wanted privacy, not convenience, and now 5 of 6 layers use them daily. Anyone else had to rearrange just to match chicken logic?
