Hit 100 eggs from my flock this morning. Didn't think I'd care that much.

You said "the math of small consistent effort adds up faster than you'd expect" and that really stuck with me. Do you think the surprise comes more from the speed it adds up, or just from how much you stop noticing the daily grind?

Is it just me or does hitting those small milestones make you realize how much happens when you aren't really paying attention? I got a similar feeling when my garden hit its first 100 tomatoes last summer. You start out just doing the daily thing and before you know it you've got a whole pile of eggs or a counter full of squash. It's like the math of small consistent effort adds up faster than you'd expect. Your mileage may vary but I've found that's true for a lot of stuff in my life. The real surprise is how satisfying that accidental abundance feels.
