Got called out for my messy feeder setup and honestly, they were right

A friend came over last month and straight up said my hanging feeder was a total mess, with feed all over the ground. I mean, I knew it was a bit wasteful, but I didn't think it was that bad. I switched to a treadle feeder I got for about $60, and now there's almost no spill at all. Has anyone else had to eat their pride and fix a basic chicken care mistake?

Eat your pride and fix a basic chicken care mistake" - Man, that's a bit dramatic for a feeder, don't you think? I mean, a little spilled feed is just chickens being chickens, it's not like you were feeding them garbage. Treadle feeders are nice and all, but acting like it's a huge character flaw is overkill.
