Finally caved and bought a proper coop camera setup

I spent about $150 on a little weatherproof camera and a solar panel to power it. For years I just used a baby monitor, but the picture was so bad I couldn't tell if a hen was broody or just sleeping. Now I can check the coop from my phone, day or night. It saved me a ton of trips outside in the cold this winter. Honestly, it's the best money I've spent for peace of mind. Has anyone else found a camera system that works well with chickens?

Oh man, that's a game changer. I mean, I did the same thing last year and it's wild how much you see that you'd miss. Caught a possum trying to get in one night before it even touched the wire. The peace of mind is totally worth the money, idk why I waited so long.

Right? I put mine up and suddenly I'm watching a whole nature documentary on my phone. Saw a raccoon do a full heist movie style crawl across the fence, then just stop and stare right into the camera like he was offended. Felt like I should have charged him for the show.
