Wasted $80 on that fancy ultralight cook system. Should have just kept my old camp stove.

Same thing happens with everything these days. Marketing makes you feel like you need the newest thing when the old one worked just fine.

Honestly I used to be the type who always wanted the latest phone or laptop as soon as it dropped. But you're right about the marketing thing, it's all just FOMO dressed up as innovation. My old phone still takes fine pictures and loads apps fine, I don't need a camera that can see in the dark.
