Swapped my paper maps for a 3 ounce GPS unit on the Colorado Trail
Used to stop every hour to fold and recheck a paper map in the wind, now I download the route ahead of time and just glance at my wrist, but has anyone else found that the batteries drain twice as fast in below freezing temps?
