Got cliffed out on the Enchantments loop by a goat, now I check every side trail
Was cruising down Aasgard Pass toward Colchuck Lake two summers ago when a mountain goat parked itself right on the only path down and would not move. I tried to shoo it and it just stared at me, so I scrambled up some loose rock to go around and ended up stuck on a 40 foot slab for an hour. Now I pull out my map at every junction and mark bailout points before I even start walking. Has anyone else had a route wrecked by wildlife that just refused to share the trail?
