Best week of hiking I ever had, then the worst 48 hours on the JMT
Last September did 100 miles of the John Muir Trail from Red's Meadow to Whitney Portal. The first week was perfect weather, golden aspens, and I slept like a log every night. Then a storm rolled in near Guitar Lake and I spent two freezing nights shivering in a leaky shelter. Has anyone else had a trip split that hard between amazing and rough conditions?
