Spent $180 on a broker for a 900 mile move and I did not get what everyone swears you get
I moved a car from Phoenix to Sacramento last month and went with a broker at $180 because this whole forum keeps saying you need one to screen carriers. What I actually got was three days of no calls, a pickup window that shifted twice, and a dispatch guy who could not tell me the carrier's DOT number until the truck was already in my driveway. Has anyone here booked straight with a carrier and had a worse time, or is the broker thing just overhyped?
