Paid $1,150 to ship my Camry from Denver to Chicago, and the driver showed up 4 days late with a cracked bumper
Booked with a broker back in February, they promised pickup within a 3 day window and a covered truck. Instead some guy in an open trailer rolled up on a Sunday morning, no call ahead, and pointed at a fist size dent near my rear wheel that wasn't there when I handed it off. Filed a claim, got offered $200 and told I signed something about 'pre-existing wear' that I don't remember ever seeing. Has anybody here gotten a broker to actually pay out on damage, or am I just eating this?
A $200 offer on a cracked bumper is a joke. That repair is easily over a grand at any body shop. The part that really gets me is they showed up 4 days late with no call, that alone should void any pickup window they promised you. Brokers love hiding behind fine print you never saw.
Did you get a copy of whatever you signed at pickup? That paper is everything here.
