Wheel bearing noise before and after a 2015 F-150 fix in Dallas

That truck hummed like a busted speaker for 2 weeks after I put 60k miles on the factory hubs, then a $140 Timken replacement killed the noise instantly, so why did the original last only 3 years when my old Chevy's went 150k?
