Shoutout to hitting 3,000 oil changes on my old Weaver lift
I bought this 9,000 lb two post lift secondhand out of a closing Firestone in Akron back in 2016, and last Tuesday the counter I keep on the power unit rolled over 3,000 oil changes on it. Sounds dumb but that number got me, because I remember thinking I overpaid at $1,800 and now I can't picture the shop without it. It has needed one cable and one set of arm pins in all that time, which beats the new import lift a buddy paid $4,200 for and had leaking cylinders in year two. Any of you run stamped counters on your lifts, or do you just guess when it's time to pull the cables and check them?
