Saw a shop in Denver using a full torque wrench set for every single lug nut

They argued it's the only way to guarantee consistency and avoid lawsuits. I've always used a torque stick on the impact and then a quick check with one wrench. Which method actually saves time without cutting corners?

That Denver shop has the right idea. A torque stick can wear out or be the wrong spec for the impact gun you're using. I watched a tech snap one once because it was old and brittle. The extra five minutes per car with a click wrench is cheap insurance.

Honestly, I used to think torque sticks were fine, but seeing a shop get sued over a wheel-off changed my mind completely.

Ever seen a guy use a ruler to cut drywall?
