Opted for the cheaper scan tool, kinda surprised it paid off
Had to choose between a $400 dedicated scanner and a $120 bluetooth OBD2 adapter for my side work. Picked the cheap adapter because money was tight after buying that used lift last month. Took it on a 2015 F-150 with a misfire, and the live data screen showed cylinder 4 dropping instantly. Saved me from guessing coils and plugs, but I still wonder if the pricier one would've caught the intermittent codes faster. Anyone else made the budget call and gotten lucky?
