My buddy's 'just send it' advice almost killed my transmission
My friend Dave said I could floor it through a puddle to clean the undercarriage. Took out my serpentine belt and hydro locked the engine at a gas station in Tulsa. Has anyone else had a good laugh at bad advice that cost you real money?

That "just send it" advice is rough man, I feel you. But just a heads up, hydro locking happens when water gets into the cylinders through the intake, not the transmission. Different problem, same bad result though. Serpentine belt getting knocked off is from the sheer force of hitting deep water, that part checks out. Sounds like Dave owes you a tow or at least a beer.
