My 10-year-old niece asked me why cars have to be so loud.
She said her friend's new electric car just hums, and it made me realize I've spent my whole career chasing down rattles and exhaust leaks to make things quiet. Now I'm wondering if we're all just fixing problems we helped create. Anyone else get a weird perspective shift from a non-mechanic lately?
