Just hit 1000 hours on my new scan tool and I'm kinda shocked it's held up this well

Yeah, that bit about being stuck sharing the one old tool really hits home. I mean, it feels like everything is built to break now so you have to buy another. It's nice when something just does its job for a long time.

Holding up for 1000 hours is solid. My old shop had a cheap scanner that died after maybe 300. The screen just went blank one Tuesday, right in the middle of a code pull. Boss refused to buy a good one, so we were stuck sharing the one ancient Snap-on unit for weeks. Makes you appreciate when a tool just works.
