Had a customer complain my oil filter wrench was leaving marks on the old canister - made me rethink using strap wrenches altogether
Guy at the parts counter swore by the steel cup wrenches saying they never slip, but I've always used the adjustable band style for thirty years - does anyone actually find the cups worth switching to for daily shop work?

Customers can be unreal" is right. Marks on a canister? Come on. If you're opening it, some wear is just part of the deal. People need to pick their battles.
