Comparing cheap vs name brand ball joints on the same F-150 job...
Did a front end job on a 2011 F-150 last month. Customer cheaped out and brought me some no-name ball joints from eBay. Pressed them in and they felt sloppy right out of the box. Ended up fighting alignment for an extra hour because the tapers didn't seat right. Two weeks later he's back with a clunk. Put Moogs in this time and everything just fit perfect first try. The extra $40 per side saved me so much headache. Anyone else have parts that just refuse to cooperate unless you stick with the better brands?

Man, I bet half the issue is cheap parts not being made to the same tolerances, so your labor ends up covering the difference anyway. When did we decide saving a few bucks was worth chasing gremlins for weeks?
