Chasing a parasitic drain for 2 days turned out to be a glovebox light
Man, I spent 2 full evenings after work chasing a battery drain on a 2012 Camry. Multimeter said 0.4 amps sitting still, pulled every fuse one by one and nothing dropped it. Finally got frustrated and started wiggling harnesses near the passenger footwell, saw a tiny flicker from the glovebox lamp. The plunger switch was worn down so it only made contact when the glovebox was shut just right, took me 28 hours total to find a 50 cent fix. Anyone else had a dumb simple part waste half their week like that? I swear the weird ones always hide behind the obvious tests.
