Went with the Harbor Freight DA over a used Porter Cable on a 2012 Civic trunk lid

Had a 2012 Civic with a trunk lid full of swirls and a quote from a local shop in Dayton for $450 to buff it out. I was stuck between a new Harbor Freight DA for $60 or a used Porter Cable 7424 off Marketplace for $85. Went with the cheap one thinking I could just return it if it sucked. Took me about 3 hours with a foam pad and some Meguiars 105 to get 90% of the swirls out. The HF one is loud and vibrates like crazy but it got the job done. I did burn through one pad because I pushed too hard on a corner. Wondering if the Porter Cable would have been smoother on my hands or if I just got lucky with the cheap one.
