Threw $200 at a paint booth filter upgrade and it paid off in one day
Ngl I was skeptical about spending that much on those high-flow intake filters for my booth but the first clearcoat job dried way cleaner with no dust nibs. Has anyone else tried swapping out the cheap ones for the pricier brand?

Wait, you mean those cheap cardboard filters aren't doing the job? I'm shocked, shocked I say lol. I spent $150 on some name brand ones a few months back and my clear finally stops looking like I painted it in a sandstorm. Totally worth it if you ask me, especially when you factor in how much less sanding you gotta do.

My buddy Mark tried the cheapo ones on his Mustang and after two coats it looked like he'd clear coated it in a dust storm. He spent a whole weekend sanding it back down and swore he'd never skimp on filters again.
