Pro tip: I stopped pulling dents with a stud welder on aluminum panels and switched to glue pulling 6 months ago
A guy at the PPG training center in Dallas showed me that welding studs on a 2021 F-150 aluminum door just work-hardens the metal and makes it crack later, so now I keep a $40 glue puller kit in my cart and the panels come out cleaner with way less grinding, but I'm curious if anyone here still welds on aluminum and gets away with it long term?
