I keep seeing shops skip the final tack rag before primer

At a job in Tacoma, I watched a guy blow dust off a quarter panel with his air gun and call it good. He sprayed right over it. I pulled a tack cloth over the same spot after he left and it came up gray. That dust ends up as texture under the paint, every time. How many of you still do this step?

Does it really make that big of a difference?

So you think that dust just disappears?

Omg I used to be one of those people who thought "eh it's just a little dust." Then I actually tried the tack rag step on a job and yeah, @the_noah is totally right about that texture thing. Changed my whole process after seeing the difference in the finish.
