I finally had a day where nothing went wrong in the shop

Last Thursday was weird. I fixed a 2015 Civic with a dented quarter panel in under 2 hours, no fight at all. Then a guy came in for a bumper quote and just said "yes" to the price without arguing. Even the paint booth behaved itself, no fisheyes or orange peel. I actually sat down for lunch at noon, which never happens around here. Has anyone else ever had a unicorn day like that, or am I just lucky?

Did you find yourself checking the calendar to make sure it wasn't like April Fool's day or something? lol I swear I'd be waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire time. My last unicorn day ended when a customer came back screaming because the paint hadn't fully cured and they'd leaned a bicycle against it. What did you do with all that leftover time anyway, just sit there and wait for something to catch fire?

Ha, I wish - I'd probably just spend it stress-testing the coffee machine to see if it could finally break.
