I doubted the $40 stud welder for dent pulling, now I use it daily

Honestly, I thought those cheap stud welders were gimmicks after my first cheap one broke on a hood in Cincinnati. Ngl, I stuck with glue pulling for years because I trusted it on thin metal. Last month I tried a $40 unit from Harbor Freight on a 2015 Civic door ding and it held way better than I expected. The key was keeping the tip clean and using the right copper slide hammer. Now I'm wondering if I should upgrade to a $150 model for production work. Has anyone else made the switch from glue tabs to studs for smaller jobs, or is it just me?
