I blew $340 on a stud welder kit for one dent job and I regret it

Bought a cheap stud welder setup back in March to pull a crease out of a quarter panel on a 2014 Civic. The welder ran me $340 and it popped studs off clean half the time, so I ended up drilling holes and using a slide hammer anyway. Then I paid a mobile dent guy $150 to fix what I could not get flat. So I am in it for close to $500 on a panel I could have pulled with a $40 glue kit and some patience. The welder sits on the shelf now collecting dust next to my old MIG spool. Anyone got a decent glue puller setup they actually trust, or am I better off just hanging panels and letting the PDR guy handle the small stuff?
