Back in 2019 I used to cut rust patches with a grinder and a steady hand, now I use a plasma cutter for anything bigger than a quarter.

Oh man, I totally feel that. Honestly, cutting rust with a grinder is such a pain - it takes forever and you end up with sparks everywhere. I remember struggling with that for years before finally trying a plasma cutter. Ngl, it's like night and day once you switch over. You get cleaner cuts and way less cleanup too. Tbh I don't think I could ever go back to the grinder for anything bigger than a quarter inch either.

I used to think they were overkill but mine cut through a quarter inch of steel like butter.
