Figured the $89 HVAC tune-up flyer in my mailbox was a scam, but the guy actually showed me the problem
I got one of those mailers for a cheap AC tune-up in Marietta and I almost threw it out, because I always assumed the price was just bait to get someone in your house and sell you a whole new unit. The tech spent 40 minutes, found my condenser coil was half clogged with pollen and dog hair, and showed me a photo of it on his phone before he even touched anything. He didn't push a replacement, just cleaned it and charged me the $89 with no upsell garbage. My electric bill went down about $30 the next month, so now I'm wondering how many of these mailers I've been ignoring. Has anyone actually gotten burned by one of these cheap tune-up offers, or was I just lucky with this company?
