That zoomed in moon shot made me feel tiny

I was scrolling through the sub last night and saw someone post a close up of the moon taken with a modest 8 inch scope. The detail on those craters was insane, but what really got me was the crater Tycho and its rays. I looked it up and it turns out Tycho is about 85 km wide and the rays stretch out like 1,500 km from it. I always pictured the moon as this smooth white ball, but seeing the shadow lines and the crazy texture up close made me realize how violent that surface actually is. The poster said they used a 2x Barlow and stacked like 500 frames, which blew my mind because my attempts look like a blurry egg. Has anyone else tried stacking frames for the moon and actually gotten results, or is it one of those things that looks easy but takes forever to master?
