That online astrophotography guru told me to skip calibration frames...

Watched this guy with 50k subscribers saying dark frames were a waste of time with modern sensors. Tried it for 3 nights on the Orion Nebula. Stacked 120 subs at 2 minutes each and got nothing but noise. Went back and shot 30 darks the next night, reprocessed the same data, and it was night and day. Has anyone else fallen for bad advice from popular channels?

Yeah cause matching temp on darks is way overthinking it honestly.
