Stuck between a 6-inch and an 8-inch Dob for my first real telescope

I spent three weeks last month trying to decide on a telescope for my backyard... ended up going with the 8-inch because I found a used one for $250 on Craigslist. The first night I pointed it at Jupiter I could actually see two of the cloud bands, not just the moons. Has anyone else had that moment where a bigger scope just clicks?

Right? That first good Jupiter view on an 8-inch is pure magic.
