Last night I hit my 1,000th stacked photo and marked it wrong

I was sorting through my M31 captures from the past 3 months and realized I had just stacked my 1,000th frame, but I accidentally deleted the master file. It took me maybe 2 minutes to redo from the saved lights, but the moment made me think about how we mostly track gear, not time behind the eyepiece. Anyone else keep a counter of total exposures or does that just feel like extra bookkeeping?
