Appreciation post for the night sky at Big Bend National Park

I was out there last weekend just looking up and I could actually see the Milky Way with my naked eyes like no light pollution at all really makes you feel small in a good way does anyone else have a favorite dark sky spot?

really makes you feel small in a good way" - that's exactly it. I used to think that stuff was just hype from people who romanticize everything. But then I drove out to the desert one night and saw it, and it changed my whole idea of what's out there.

Wait, you really drove out there by yourself? That's wild, I would have been too scared to do that alone. @shah.evan, I can't believe you just got in a car and went to the middle of nowhere like that. The desert at night sounds intense, especially if you're not used to it. But I get what you mean about it changing your whole idea of things.
